Frequently asked questions.
Is FIKA free?
Yes. Downloading FIKA, browsing providers, chatting and booking are free for clients. You pay the provider for the service at the price you agree together.
How are providers verified?
Each provider submits a legal or business document in the app. Our team reviews it before the provider can receive bookings, and approved providers receive a FIKA verification certificate.
What happens if a provider doesn’t answer my request?
The provider is reminded after about 20 minutes. If your request is still waiting after 30 minutes, FIKA suggests other providers of the same service so you’re never left waiting.
How do I pay?
For now you pay the provider directly, in cash or by Mobile Money, at the price you agreed. FIKA does not hold your money.
How do I become a provider?
Download FIKA, create an account, choose “Become a provider”, then add your service, location, photos of your work and your legal document. You can start receiving requests once you’re verified.
What is FIKA Gold?
An optional plan for verified providers: 5,000 RWF for 30 days gives you a gold tick, top placement in your service and up to 30 photos. It does not renew automatically.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, any time from Account Settings → Delete Account. Read the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
